Pay Range:

$34.21 - $51.31Microscopically screens slides for disease conditions, including malignant or premalignant cells, to assist pathologist in making an accurate diagnosis as to cause of symptoms or disease.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Genetics, Cytotechnology or relevant field required.
• Graduation from a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) Accredited School of Cytotechnology.
• Before September 1, 1992- have completed a Baccalaureate degree with appropriate course work in mathematics and science and registry by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as Cytotechnologist or eligible.

Experience Qualifications

• No experience required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

• Certified Cytotechnologist required (CT(ASCP))
